Steel Soleplates

Crane rails are typically not installed directly onto concrete floors, as the material does not provide sufficient support. Instead, steel soleplates are used as the primary bearing surface for the rails, ensuring stability and durability.

While certain types of rails can be placed directly on H-beams, steel soleplates are generally required for added support. For welded rail clip solutions, the clip base plates can be pre-welded onto the steel support plates, allowing for easier installation on-site.

Prime Track Resources offers customized steel soleplates, precisely cut and drilled using advanced laser cutting technology. This ensures accurate sizing and a streamlined installation process, as clients only need to transport the pre-processed steel soleplates to their construction sites for easy installation.

Steel Soleplates Options

CONTINUOUS STEEL SOLEPLATES

Continuous soleplates are essential for supporting heavy-lifting rails and are secured using either bolted or welded rail clamps.

Typically, welded rail clips combined with continuous steel soleplates are preferred for handling heavy cranes. The steel plates used are carbon steel with a thickness of over 20mm to ensure durability and strength. To enhance corrosion resistance, the baseplates for rail clips should be welded onto the steel soleplates before the galvanization process.

Additionally, the soleplates feature fixed threaded holes and leveling bolt holes, allowing for proper alignment and secure attachment to the concrete base during installation. Prime Track Resources provides high-quality steel soleplates designed for heavy-duty applications, ensuring reliability and long-term performance.

INDIVIDUAL STEEL SOLEPLATES

Lighter lifting equipment can be supported using individual soleplates. Compared to continuous soleplates, individual soleplates are more material-efficient, require less construction work, and offer easier installation.

These soleplates are designed with holes for securing anchor bolts and for installing bolted rail clips. In certain light-duty applications, the rail clips can be directly fastened to the anchor bolts, simplifying the installation process. Prime Track Resources provides durable and precisely engineered individual soleplates to meet various lifting equipment requirements.
